"no off color, crude, or deliberatly insulting jokes" - cuts down the material.
It's a sad fact that most people who see live comedy like crude sex gags.
And while there's a distaste for discriminatory humour, the best comics can always be extremely provocative and offensive. Savage satire is my favourite form of comedy.
Just think how many S-Club 7 fans I could offend with the gag I posted on the other thread.
H2G2 has standards, and I'm not suggesting breaking those standards. All I'm saying that some of the most productive, thought provoking and iconoclastic humour can never be posted here....shame really.

I agree, and I wish as much as anyone that we could post all the jokes we like no matter how controversial they are. I'm personally a huge fan of George Carlin and his "Seven Dirty Words" bit, and if it were up to me I'd post a transcript of that! Oh well, I suppose nothing can really be done...And in the meantime, we could always attempt to create unoffensive brands of humour!...nah...Light bulb jokes just wouldn't be the same unless they offend someone.
Once we get an egroup (if?) I suppose all the dirty jokes can be told there with leisure. Until then, there's always .
