Hello,
Welcome to Peer Review Jens, and thank you for writing a Guide Entry. I hope we'll see more entries from you in the future, since it makes the Guide great.
Now, let's fix that link http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A563311
Short, but not much to really say on the subject. Still, I'd personally trim the beginning. If anybody here can't figure out that a bottle opener is so-called because it's used to open bottles or why one would want do such a thing, there's nothing on this site that can help them. So that part reminds me a bit of the "Instructions for Toothpicks" lament in one of the H2G2 books. But maybe that's just me.
Otherwise, it seems fine. I'm not sure however if you want to explore more of the "what to do if you can't get the bottle open" route explored in the cans and jars entry. In any event, don't forget that wine also comes in bottles, but you'd be hard pressed to open them with a bottle opener (might want to see if there is something on opening wine and champagne). So you could add those to your exceptions.
Let's see what other people think.
Yours,
Jake

Sorry about that link....
Ok, maybe the subject wasnt the most useful but, but someone maybe had a problem with it?
About the winebottleproblem: Because the subject are "Bottle-openers", corkscrews wont fit in the entry.
I´m working on the troubleshooting part right now, after your ordinations.
Thnx

Hello,
Well, you're welcome to take my suggestions or leave them. I'm only offering my own personal opinions as constructive criticism. I hope this doesn't put you off on the writing process.
Yours,
Jake

Hi Jens!
Just a couple of points to an otherwise excellent entry:
1) Spelling mistake: 'isnt' in italics should be 'isn't' i.e. with an apostrophe.
2) Have you considered putting the 'Instructions for Use' section into bullet points (using the tag and tag)?
Nice article ,
Kenrick

This entry confused me a bit. Is it talking about bottles or cans (I have a feeling there's some kind of variation in the way the words are used here). To me a bottle is like a beer bottle (crown top) which you open with a lever-like bottle-opener with little effort, or a wine bottle, for which you use a corkscrew.
I liked the introduction though

I'm pretty sure there is an article on how to open a bottle of Champagne somewhere.
For this article, I like it, but I think you need to specify the kind of bottle a bottle opener is designed for. Rather than saying simply *not screw-necked*, say, crown topped. But keep the mention of other types of bottle - screw-necked, corked, and so on, perhaps briefly mention how you'd open them

Hi, not much to add to waht others have said before.
A nice little entry
Two things
You spell therefore wrong at the end of the piece and also the word is 'dehydration' no 'dehydisation' at the begining.
In addition - there is more than one type of bottle opener - the sort you get in a swiss-army or pen-knife knife is also used for the same purpose but does not have the design you describe.
cheers,
Orcus
(Hmmm. Always wondered where A123456 took you )

Well, what do you folks think we should do with this one? I think it still needs a little work, albeit not a whole lot. The author doesn't seem to have been around since his last posting many weeks back.

I don't want to appear like following you around Mikey (I'm just reloading the F48874?thread=I don't want to appear like following you around Mikey (I'm just reloading the F48874 thread continually whilst procrastinating other things), but... I second the move. Bossel (Scout)

tis OK Bossel, that's what I was thinking, too.
And don't worry, I don't think you're cyberstalking me or anything -- I also keep PR on refresh during times of procrastination.
