VG article! For people who are looking for healing advice in the British Iles, I would recommed a thin coat of sudocrem followed by a thin coat of vasaline and a cling film dressing for the first 4-6 days (depending on the size of the Tattoo). After this a thin coat of savlon could be applied if the Tattoo is still sore but you should be O.K with some E-45 cream applied three times a day.
I feel it important to point out whille the Tattoo should be kept from drying out it is important not to soak it in water. Soaking a piercing of Tattoo will cause the scab to become inflamed (scabbacous material acts kind of like a sponge) which could cause the piercing to reject or the Tattoo to loose ink as the scab takes it with it . Rinse your tatto with clean water and pat dry with a paper towel befor applying unguants and a dressing.
