I know him offsite and he's a nice guy, if a little tempramental at times. He hasn't formally declared support for anyone. He lurks a lot, so you may not have chatted with him yet. I'm sure if you approached him he would agree to run as your VP. Andyou'd have an actual person - not a deity or a badger. Plus he could cater all of your official banquets.
