I take it one of the kids in your SS class misnamed the parable. Kids come up with lots of cute things. When No.1 son was little he wanted to help put out the nativity set at Christmas and said, "I'll do the Three Wise Guys."

It was actually one of my housemates at university! I typed it up during the night and stuck it on the fridge before he got up the following morning.
For a church kids event one Christmas I was all three of the wise men (not that we really know how many there were, but still), with a different accent and speech pattern for each one. That was fun. One was a bit of a 'wise guy'.

A father was reading Bible stories to his young son. He read, "The man named Lot was warned to take his wife and flee out of the city, but his wife looked back and was turned to salt."
His son asked, "What happened to the flea?"

Quick fun quiz to pass time at a summer event:
Question: Who built the ark?
Answer from child: Bob the builder!
No, really. That was their answer. There were a few seconds of silence followed by lots of muffled as we tried not to upset the child.

A Sunday school teacher was telling her class the parable of the Good Samaritan. She described the scene in vivid detail. Then she asked the class, "If you saw a man lying on the side of the road injured and covered in blood, what would you do?"
Everyone was quiet, then a little girl spoke up. "I think I'd throw up!"

I find children to be startlingly honest at times. It seems like there are the great kids to work with and then at least one in every group that is just a holy terror. I try to remind myself how neat the good ones are instead of focusing on the rotten ones. We have one who comes to story time that I really believe is the devil's spawn.

I think I know that child... But the nice kids do make it all worth while.
One of the kids at church (a lovely one, completely unrelated to the first sentence above) has a Mr Strong t-shirt. I assume you have the Mr Men and Little Miss books on your side of the pond? At one point, I was talking to said child and he was telling me that he was Mr Strong, which is why he has the t-shirt. I asked him 'Which Mr Man would I be?' and without a moment's hesistation he said 'Mr Worry'. Honest, and surprisingly perceptive...
