i ended up reading this entry-in-the-making upon clicking onwards after criticizing your utterly nerdly gnu macro thingy post. i love what you're doing here! keep it up!
the thing that makes it a good read to me is that you take your -pardon my french- nerdly, gnu-macro-programming way of seeing and/or describing stuff out of it's natural context. here, in the grubby world of the midnight NY subway it takes on a whole new guise. it isn't as boring as it is when describing the stuff that are it's natural habitat. it becomes humorous. yet still it retains it's huge amount of information. and if you've read some of the more silly entries in this here guide you will know that even information on the different species of new york subway bums is valued and appreciated.

and now for some criticism: try to make it as condensed as possible without becoming telegraph style. i made that error on both my entries. (yes i'm a newbie!)

will you teach me how to make those nifty area marker line things?
please?
i may have some underdeveloped literary skills but my nifty page making skills are sub par beyond recognition. (clueless is the word)
pretty please with sugar on top?

cheers, schurem
