The next entry in the series.

I really like this one. Of course, STTNG is the series I enjoyed the most.

You might make a footnote on Majel Barrett Roddenberry's being Gene Roddenberry's wife, and the voice of the starship. The argument in one episode between Lwaxanna and the ship's computer was amusing.

A few edit notes:

'which most people would probably have preferred to have happened'. Did you mean 'prefer not to have happened' or 'prefer had not happened'?

'it tried to differ itself' - 'it tried to distinguish itself from...'?

I would capitalise the ranks, such as Lieutenant Yar, and titles, such as Chief Medical Officer.

points to data not being the only one of his kind, he has a brother, and also had the oppotunity to experience emothions with a chip, however for the seris he chose not to use it, it is in use more in the films.

Metion could be made of Yar reppearing in they episode Yesterday's enterprise before goign back in time. The leads to her romulan daughter being a recuring character

Lieutenant Worf was tactical officer in the first seris, however he combined that role with security for the others. (capital L needed on lieutenant in this section)

could be mentioned that Doc Pulaski was brought in to try and revive a McCoy character for the next gen, transport fears, strong minded, arguments with the logical one ... One of two cast members to appear in the orginal seris, she was a guest star

Majel Baret being the other, and the voice of the computer

when you said no cross overs fromt he old cast, a footnote could mention that McCoy was in the frist episode, and scotty, spock and Sarak reappear in the seris somewhere or other

I don't know how you make out that Picard has an American accent. The actor is English, and he is performing in a standard upper-class English accent. His real accent is Yorkshire, which would sound very strange to American ears.

And, of course, he's supposed to be French, although he only says 'merde' once - and probably regretted it.

That makes it sound as if the Klingons are either evil, the chief enemy of the Fedeartion, or both, which was never the case as far as I remember.

Riker's character was intended be the all-action Kirk replacement, the way that Data was intended to mirror Spock.

Troi communicated telepathically with her mother every time Lwaxana was on board.

Mostly harmless? The Borg had no idea of the existence of humanity until Q introduced them!

I also think you should drop the words "mostly harmless". Q's description stands well without it. A word about the final episode
I think the writers were under time pressure to come up with it and what they settled on disappointed many of the regular fans.
They also released the final episode as a novel by Michael Jan Friedman but it was considered by some to be no better than the screen play ( which was by Ronald D. Moore & Brannan Braga).

I liked the last episode, myself.

"and in emergencies the she can hold over 44,000 passengers" = and in emergencies she can hold over 44,000 passengers.

"The families of crewmembers live aboard the ship" = crew members.

"The Prime Directive plays a larger part in TNG than it did in TOS, and Picard tends to stick by it more stringently that Kirk did" = than Kirk did. Any chance of a link to "The Prime Directive"?

I won't mention the "American accent" error, seeing as it's already been mentioned twice above. I do recall Picard reverting to his "native" French when his mother appeared in one episode - he called her "Mamon" and reacted like a child.

"She was rescued by Starfleet, and to return the favour, she decided to sign-up" = sign up.

"As a Klingon, he has a divided loyalty to Starfleet and the Klingon Empire, and this leads to many tough-calls over the course of the show" = tough calls.

"Pulaski was the doctor that replaced Crusher" = Pulaski was the doctor who replaced Crusher.

"Her and Picard have a close friendship" = She and Picard have a close friendship.

"He's a super-being that's seemingly capable of anything" = He's a super-being who's seemingly capable of anything.

"She got married and became pregnant in the final season" - it was nurse Ogawa's amniotic fluid which saved everyone on the ship from devolution, if you're going to mention her pregnancy then you need to explain the relevance.

"and everyone know's that orange is more powerful than blue" = and everyone knows that orange is more powerful than blue.

"and Michael Piller was brought in as a new head-writer" = head writer. Chief writer?

"and as a result he ended-up hiring Ron Moore" = and as a result he ended up hiring Ron Moore.

Just wanted to say after my reservations with TOS that the tone of this is absolutely perfect! Best treatment of the series any fan could wish for. Well done!!

I think it's supposed to be a mis-quote of Scotty's "No bloody A, B, C or D" from the episode Relics, when he wants the Enterprise's bridge to be re-created on the holdeck.

I don't think it works never well, unfortunately, because it's too far from the original to be easily recognisable.

Possibly "No bloody A, B or C but a D" would work.

I think it would be good to mention the titles of the TNG films at the end: Generations, First Contact, Insurrection and Nemesis.

Nice entry. Haven't had time to read it in detail, but the quick glance verdict is very good. Glad to see that Barclay is mentioned - one of my favourite characters.
