I wrote this a while ago and I still don't know if it has an important point to make. It's not a serious article, and is rated PG, so you have been warned....

I think the point was made clear in the (formerly PR, now Sinbin) thread here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/F59234?thread=97647 It's a Journal entry (although it's under a new A-number now), rather than stuff for the Edited guide, I'm afraid. Bossel (Scout)

Unsurprisingly, this entry has been removed by the moderators. I think we've had this conversation before, but let me reiterate -- it is not OK on h2g2 to advocate killing people.

Given that this entry hasn't changed substantively since the original thread was sent to the sin bin, I should think that this one should be headed in that direction as well. What say y'all?

Hi, just clicking around and found you in the Sin Bin, hope you aren't suffering too much. New to this so I hope I can find my way out.

Gotta say, my husband is a Colombian and the violence in his country makes life miserable for millions. Know it was in jokey style but really, the poverty in Colombia is extreme, the violence beyond imagination and my husband gets sick and tired of jokes aimed at him about drugs etc etc.

Sorry. It was the "terminally" bit that bugged me.

Ok, lets get this straight. This article does NOT say that you should go around killing people. Those who have took this as what I was saying are thinking that this article is supposed to be serious, which it is NOT, I repeat NOT. Also, anyone offended by this article are thinking that I'm a mad sycopath, and to those people I say this: If you ever met me, you wouldn't think that at all, in fact I'm a very likeable guy. So please stop harrasing me with how it offends you, I don't want to kill you or anyone, and no-one should, OK!

Andy, clearly you meant the article to be jokey, as I said, and it is also clear that you are upset by criticism. I certainly had no intention upsetting you and I can imagine how you feel by it all.

For me, it is just that you seem to have to be careful what you say nowadays, especially in front of strangers, (you don't know the people that read your article) in case you instil in some lunatic some crazy idea. In light of the terrible attacks on America, and wondering how the plan all started, I would imagine you can see my point of view. Only today I heard a supposedly intelligent woman saying that she thought the terrorists were really drug barons that had paid others in a different country to do their dirty work. Drug barons from where? Colombia? (Why would Arabs commit suicide for another country?) So, if she shoots her mouth off enough...

Did some joker in a bar somewhere a while back say that it would be a good idea to blitz those so and so Americans...how about the big apple?

This article has been around for a while, so I'm used to hearing endless criticism. I just want to know if there was one person out there who realised it was written as a joke. Is there anyone who found it funny? And please, no more captions saying "it offended you", I'm not directing it at you, and on a final note, in am NOT saying you should go out there and kill lots of people, or in fact, anyone, including Bin Laden, remember he's only prime suspect (the most likely guy to do the job), but there are tons of people who'd do it without him knowing. And if I get any articles saying that "of course he did it", I would like to see concrete proof before I believe you. Hey, I'm that kind of guy.

Well said. And talking of Bins, time to move on. Now how do I get out of this Bin?
