I'm not sure this entry on Real Texas Bars vs. Fake Texas Bars will ever meet the Guide's requirements for objectivity. But nonetheless, I think it's important information to make available to the Guide-viewing public, especially since some sub-editors are rumored to be travelling to Texas soon.

err... yes, somehow I'm sharing your concerns about the contents. You could, however, combine the wannabe's and 'real's into a general entry about 'Bars in Texas, and what makes them different from Bars in Louisiana' or so

Part of the problem with making this a general entry on Texas bars is... most Texas Wannabe bars are nowhere near Texas.
Do you suppose if I replaced "Wannabe" with "Style", as in "Texas-Style Bars", it might get farther?
