Actually, I'm from London, but I moved here about 18 months ago to marry my fiancee, and looking at the weather forecast for London today (brrrrrrr), I'm glad that I did . Dewey's castrated too, and he's pretty friendly, if a bit boisterous, but after all, he's only 7 or 8 months old - still a kitten really (and howling at the door to be let in - he's very vocal). He has no fear - he'll happily play with the tail of the collie owned by the woman in the upstairs apartment .

Collies are pretty calm, unlikemy Shoosh...
He seems to not care abit <!> about being castrated, still edgey towards any other animals, but sweet as a kitten to us. You should have seen him today, all puffed and upset, his ears stretched down and his eyes firing lightnens! We had a good laugh! Just remember that kittens turn into s, and stop being cute s!
Do you like Texas?

Yeah, I guess I do - that is to say, I like Austin. Austin is as much like the rest of Texas as London is like the rest of Britain, or New York is like the rest of the USA. It's a place on its own. It's a very liberal and left wing city in the heart of a very conservative and right wing state, and what's more, it's the state capital. One of the reasons for Austin being the way it is must be the student population. I can't remember the exact figures, but I believe that U(niversity of)T(exas at Austin) has the biggest campus in America in terms of student numbers, and of course, like students all over the world, those at UT want to have a good time whilst studying, so Austin is full of good stuff to do. It's also a big blues town (I'm not really a fan of the blues), and so Austin calls itself 'The Live Music Capital of the World'. Now, it's true that there is a lot going on here, but, er, ever heard of New Orleans, or maybe Nashville?. Perhaps they just mean per head, because even with the recent influx of hi-tech industries and the resultant jump in the population, it's still a relatively small city - about 500,000 I think. When I was getting ready to leave London, I was worried that there'd be little in the way of classical music, and particularly chamber and early music which I enjoy so much, but there's even plenty of that here . The summer is unbearably hot and long (it got up to 112F, plus heat index, one day last September!), but the winters are generally very pleasant, like around 70F in January. It can get cold though - in November we had an ice storm, and it snows about once every 10 years. When I was at school I used to grow cacti and succulents, and it was always my ambition to live in a place where I can grow them outdoors all year round, even plant them out in the garden. Here I am
