No wonder you had a smiley - biggrin when you read my journal about Fly me to the Moon.

"Great minds think aalike"

"Fools never differ" !!

But |I have just read our super article and am thrilled that you have given me all the lunar events to look out for July. Last night in the programme on the Moon walk, there was an interview with a very young looking Patrick Moore the astronomer who has been boradcasting for yoincks. He looked so young, and when I closed jy eyes, It was his voice that I recognised.

How on earth do you know so much about the starts? You really write
beaufiully and I enjoyed it. I keep threatening to go up on a hill near us and trying to see the ISS passing near us. I must see if I can get the time when it will be passing over near us from the Astronomy society.

Contragulations ny dear.

Oh, I realise now you saw a different programme to me, I didn't see Sir Patrick in the programme I watched. Hopefully it will be repeated as Sir Patrick is my hero, it's thanks to him that I got into astronomy. I wrote the EGE on the dear man: A13785816 and he is a delightful conversationalist on the telephone. It's my dearest wish to meet him but he doesn't travel now through ill-health.

I am entirely self-taught, Christiane, my school gave us *one* astronomy lesson in "General Science" and it was very basic, I already knew the planets and their order from the Sun, and I was the only class member able to reel them off to the teacher. When I had children of my own, I taught them all I knew, and my daughter #1 impressed her teacher in turn, with her knowledge of our Solar System.

I don't mind the spelling mistakes, smiley - hug I'm sorry you are tired and hope you rest well tonight.

Thank you so very much for the positive feedback, it means a great deal to me that my readers enjoy the column.

Very dear GB,

How absolutely splendid. Why do you not go and visit him? I am sure he would welcome that.

the sky at night is so much" blacker" in Africa. I know that sounds a bit crazy, but the Milky Way, and the various constellations -I only really know the Southern Cross, and the Plough make the hevens look like a jewelled crown.

that is what must have been so frightening about the first flight around the moon. Getting to the "other" side and seeing, no longer Mother Earth, but just utter dark black void. i wonder if that is when they started talking about black holes. ?

Anyway i do hope that lots of friends read your quite magnificent article, and enjoy the sky at night. thank you for sharing it with us.

You must be a very bright lady. My second spouse was very keen on astronomy and the very little I know is what he taught me. Deke ahs been wonderful to me and has directed me towards the ISS, It passes here reguarly at certain times. At least I think it is Deke. I must admit it is difficult coping with my short term memory loss. There seem to be parcels of my life of which I have no recollection.

Incidentally, i appear to have lost the ability to add friends to my space. There should be a indication on the right side of the screen, but I seem to have lost that.

Go well, and again a thousand congratulation. And do go and visit your mentor. sir Patirick Moore. and please do give him my regards. From one antique to another antique. !!
With affection

I'm a carer, and I can't leave my son or my mother. I am content with our telephone conversations smiley - smiley

Yes I've read your comments about the blacker African sky and the southern constellations, which I've never seen but I did some research and wrote about them all. Crux the Southern Cross must be so beautiful. A33827484 is what I wrote about Crux. The other 87 constellations are all in the navigation banner at the top of the article, just click the one you want and read to your heart's content. Yes, it was Deke who was talking to you about the ISS smiley - smiley Deke also wrote some of the constellation entries, like Gemini A28678431 and his Personal Space is U27380 if you have lost touch with him. I probably have a different set-up to you as I prefer the Classic skin, but my friends' list is at the bottom of my page.

Go well, Christiane, and thanks once again, I'm happy to know you enjoy my writing smiley - hug
