Dragonfly. "A poet can survive everything but a misprint"-- Oscar Wilde Posted May 2, 2001
I think "Across the Universe" is a one-chorded BEATLE song... and I KNOW it to be one of my favorites...
Dunky, you are a dirty young muse!!!

Hey Dragonfly, this was not like that in any way.
This was a piano score and it kind of went...
Jink jonk junk - rest - Jink Jonk Junk - rest - Jink Jonk Junk etc.
Without *ever* changing. (oh and insert two twelve year old boys rapping on top)
I think my second ever piano lesson when I was 8 involved more complex things than this.
Hasn't Eleanor Rigby got an Orchestra score involved?

It did, but playing it on a guitar, all you need is Em andG, I think, to get through the entire song.

Dragonfly, you'll ruin my good reputation saying things like that .
Songs can be very simple and yet very beautiful, what frustrates me is very simple and so godawful songs . Personally, you can't beat a moody reflective song. One that leaves a hint of a tear in your eye...~sighs~

RASPBERRIES!!!!
well you could blow some to me, I wouldn't mind...
If Eleanor Rigby needs only two chords on the guitar, perhaps it's because it's not made for guitar at all...
writing a sermon that...

Good point. A lot of BEATLES songs sound silly on one instrument, even if it's the piano, and sometimes even if it's the piano AND a guitar.... ummm... yes...
