This is brilliant - even though i had to explain to a cousin why this was funny - or she just has a less low sense of humour than mine - and everyone on this thread.

We're going to need some convincing on this one. Although this is a nice joke we really don't want to encourage Edited Guide Entries of this type. If the Entry is about placeholders then more examples could be given, why people use placeholders, a few more examples etc.

It appears to be popular but on the subject of 'writing Entries of Appropriate Length' our Writing Guidelines state: "As a general guide, it's usually difficult to adequately cover a topic in less than 250 words."

After all, we wouldn't have someone just writing 'This is an example of a web page...' and leave it at that.

It is essentially the same joke as this: A178355

I liked the Entry. It is well written and informative. In fact, that's where I learned what a placeholder is, and I even used it in proper context later
