OK, here we go, my user number is 1509984 so.....
(1+5+(0*9)*9)-(8+4)
all credit goes to my dh, the math wiz.

Almost, but not quite...
(1+5+(0*9)*9)-(8+4) = -6
_______________________________
However...
((1+5+(0*9))*9)-(8+4) = 42
and
((1+5+(0*9))*9)-8-4 = 42

15+0-9+9*(8-4)
-1-50-9+98+4
1*5*9+0+9-8-4
1+5+0+9/((9-8)/4)

Am I missing something?
Number 520216
(5x2)+(2x16)=42
(or does the zero in the middle disqualify me?

Well, yes, you are missing the 0 out BUT a 42ism for you could be
5x2 + 0 + 2x16 = 42
Completely acceptable.
OR
(5+2) x (0+2-1) x 6 = 42

Dear Agon0
Thanks for putting me right
Anytime you have a WW2 query or a problem that only an 82 year old could possibly solve I will cheerfully do the same for you
Best wishes
Ron
