Hi!

New user, new 42ism...

(2+0!)*(0!+8+4+0!)=42 methinks.

Not exactly imaginative, but then I should really be doing other things anyway: smiley - scientistsmiley - burgersmiley - ale

Bye bye!

Well....

You could also have...

Recip(2) * (0+0+84+0) = 42...

(If I allowed Reciprocals that is...)

OR

2+ (0!+0!+8)x4 = 42

smiley - biggrin

Or a DNAism

(2+0!)! x (0 + 8 + 4^0) = 42 DNA Stylee...

Please don't get me started on this again, Argon0! This is just the sort of infuriatingly addictive non-work that I'm particularly susceptible to on hootoo. Oh no... I can feel it all starting again... I haven't done it for my EG entries grrrrrrr... smiley - wahsmiley - wahsmiley - biggrin

Avoiding factorials, but using the double-digit rule gives

2+0*0*8+40 (or even 2+00*8+40)

I'm afraid my programming gets the credit, rather than my mathematics.

Jeremy (trying to find his way back to dinner)

... or (with a 3-digit part, which I really like)

20^-0!*840 = 42

I'm not quite shure about the brackets, so here's the same thing again:

20^(-(0!))*840 = 42
