It's no good, my maths has always been appalling and doesn't look set to change just yet. Please help as I'd love to know if I = 42.

Lots of things that would be very nice, but just don't quite work...but this does:
(((1 x 7) - 1 + 2) x 6) - 6 = 42
My maths isn't

Or, without parentheses:
1-7 + 12 + 6x6 = 42
You're welcome. Adhemar.

Thank you very much
You're like 2 on-line Carol Vordemans (for any non-Brits, she is a woman that gets paid vast quantities of money to do sums on prime-time TV, yes, British TV sometimes gets THAT exciting).
Exciting

Let me put you both to the test. I'll have 3 vowels and 6 consonants please. Now could you just give me your best false giggle and look like you do appreciate men in bright, clashing suits and ties telling terrible jokes.
Exciting

I'm really terribly sorry but I do not appreciate men in bright, clashing suits and ties telling terrible jokes very much. I actually hate suits and ties. I prefer girls, preferably wearing no suits and/or telling good jokes.
Exciting

Thank goodness for that, you're obviously not Carol Vorderman, unless you are and have just come out online?!
Exciting
