Would suggest -

(1 + 7 - 7) * 40 + 2 = 42

Oh, Yeah ..... Brain in gear before typing!!!!

Or.... (1-7) * (-7) + 4*0*2 = 42....

Okay, so do i go with the one that makes me look good at maths or the novical (is that a word??) one i have set now?
