. I've found out a bit more since you posted and have added a list of web safe colour codes. If, like me, you didn't know there were safe and unsafe colours there's a guide entry here. http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A315901. I found a website saying only colour codes which were combinations of FF CC 00 66 and 99 were safe. This entry says 33 can be added safely too. I'm working on a list including the 33's.

Beautiful! And in some sort of order too, much more useful. If you don't mind I'll put a link to that on my page. I've kept meaning to change it all to web safe colours but its difficult when you can't see similar colours together.
In fact I think you should put that up for the edited guide to be linked to Asteroid Lil's. Not to mention the bits of the guide that help people with their webspaces.

Our entries are quite different. What I actually like best about yours, is the named (but not safe) colours, so please don't change it! 
My entry can't get into the Edited Guide (or get linked from the Edited version of Lil's entry), neither be made a help page as long as the FONT tag and the COLOR attribute aren't supported in GuideML.

I didn't know GuideML didn't support those - that's a shame. I'm not going to change my Font Colours page, I'm hoping they'll all be more or less websafe sometime. I meant I should change my homespace - I've seen it on my sister's PC and some of the colours on it look wrong.

Apologies to anyone who tried to use the 'web safe' and 'probably web safe' codes. I didn't realise the colours would be affected by the spaces between the pairs of letters/numbers that came when I copied and pasted from a spreadsheet. These have now been corrected.
