A Conversation for BBC's Restraints

Now I may be wrong here, but this "bunch of friends" who made the site were DNA's company TDV, which was an actual company that did stuff like make a really great computer game and other websites, who then decided that making a REAL HHGTTG would (a) be a really hoopy idea and (b) make a lot of money in the future. Unfortunately, the advertising was kinda hard to sell and the venture capital ran out, but DNA went back a long way with the BBC, who's Online department is already so tremendously bloated that giving a bit of space to h2g2 wouldn't do much harm - and besides, owning the real HHGTTG would look pretty cool on the company's profile... unfortunately, such are the rules of the rest of BBC Online (supposedly) and because Researchers are such filthy mouthed porn-linkers, moderation had to be enforced to ensure h2g2 didn't unintentionally contravine the Beeb's strict code of conduct/Online standards.
How does that sound?

Very possibly you are not wrong
My intent with this was strictly humor, not historical accuracy, and I wanted to stick closely to Arlo's style... however, feel free to rewrite the relevant section of the article, if you want... if you post it here, I will edit the article forthwith, and give you credit for the contribution...
I am busy with other stuff right now, and it is unlikely that this particular piece will ever be submitted for PR, as I wrote it for a lark
BTW, little does the Beeb suspect that this whole h2g2 thing is actually a plot by us filthy mouthed porn-linking researchers to take over the world... A world devoted to pornography, of course....
Key: Complain about this post
Interesting, but not entirely correct...
