That is the question, isn't it? Is it really necessary to come up with nasally applied fire to suit them? Must one have to rely on focus groups or pre-cogs to have a hit? What ever happened to art for art's sake.
People are very adverse to change ---it is a real problem. We will come up with any counterproductive activity to refuse to do so. Not a good trait for withstanding eternity surely.
