So, My space has been referred. It's the language thing, isn't it? Okay, there's some Old English that's been there for a long time and been of great interest to a number of researchers and about ten words of Icelandic that has also lead to a nice conversation with one of our Icelandic researchers. None of it is a copyright violation, none of it is inflamatory or offensive. Can I have my space back? I miss my links.

It's possible to reinstate your own personal space by clicking 'My Space', then 'Edit page' then 'Update Introduction'. However, I'd strongly suggest waiting until you receive the moderation email, reading it then editing your space as appropriate before doing this, as otherwise it may well be hidden again for the same reason.

I'm pretty sure it's the Icelandic bit. I wonder if providing a translation would remedy the situation. If it's the Old English parts I'm going to be a little more upset. There is at least one edited entry containing Old English without a translation.

It might well be the Icelandic or Old English parts - that would certainly explain the Moderator referring your personal space rather than failing it. Perhaps providing translations for both parts would be the best solution?

I'll wait and see. I guess I thought it wouldn't bother anybody if it was in my personal space. Again, Old English is in at least one edited entry, A994665 , without translation. I would like to claim precedent for that. The Icelandic is a single sentence, I'm sure I could come up with a translation pretty quick (of course, if I provide the translation, who decides if it's accurate?)

I don't know how it would be decided if the translation was accurate. If the Editors decide to fail the Personal Space, you could reply to the Moderation email and ask them about the possibility of translating yourself, assuming it was the foreign language that resulted in the complaint.

Hi
We don't discuss moderation issues on site, so the best way to flag a decision you think is wrong or don't understand is to reply to the moderation email.
Thanks Rho.

okay, I'll just wait. I was kind of surprised, that's all.
