I really like the precise title of your article, because it tells the reader what he/she can expect and the expectations are fulfilled. The structure is organized well, you have headings and also subheadings for each new paragraph which makes the understanding easy.

Maybe you could just add a sentence in the beginning, telling people the purpose of your article (although it is already mentioned in the title. But I think it would be nice, if you just repeat that is a guide aiming to inform volunteers.
