During the Great Nowhere2Go2 I found myself (like many others) being forced to flee my homeland with only the safe haven of YahooGroups available tp move to. What could be worse? Nuff said.
I believe at some point in the future we should be setting up a "Rupertcrimes" commission to round up those who were responsible and make them pay for such atrocities. The defence of "I was only following orders from the Director General / Editor" shall be no defence. Even later on I shall be looking for compensation from Broadcasting House for the suffering that I and many others have been through.

I must admit that during The Great Rupert/N2G2 there were moments when I thought my faith would not hold out. I felt that the winter of the soul would be too long and I would forever be frozen out of H2G2 never to even want to return.
Fortunately this ice was melted by Mr Moxon's well-timed announcement.
If I hadn't been listening in on the ACEforum e-mails then I don't know if I would have survived the last week of downtime...

I must admit I'm at a loss as to how people who don't get the Gurus/Subs/Aces/Scouts etc. emails survived - by the state of the postings on h2g2muses just before reopening I think Mark's announcement came just in time!

I'm a comparative newbie compared to you guys, but I shudder to think what would have happened if h2g2 hadn't survived "Rupert" and I may have ever known the wonder of this place....
