Pokemon was too confusing. One second you want to get to a place and there're people stopping you. The next, you're trying to find the people that stopped you and they've dissapeared.

And you spend ages at the start being told to stay off the long grass because you'll be eaten, then they put a ton of it between you and the place you want to go.

all that stuff is to make sure you do what needs to be done before going on with the story! you can't go into the grass before you have a pokemon to protect you! and the people get in your way to make sure you defeat the OTHER bad guy people before leaving the city

No, it had its chance. It wouldn't let anything but my first pokemon level up without losing all thair health. It just stopped being fun or interesting. That and the dialogue written by toddlers in crayon.

pfft, you need to try harder! you raise new pokies by switching them out at the start of the battle! that way they won't get knocked out and they still get the exp! i'll give you the thing about the dialogue though
