MAJOR PROBLEM

HELP!! - THIS IS _NOT_ A TEST POSTING
Repeatedly, when going to pages the entire browser window (excluding browser tollbars) has gone WHITE the status bar say Done, no infomation is coming in (I checked total infomation recieced this session twice and there was no change) and when I try again I get a message like this (or similar)
<--- Total Time: #### ---> (#### meaning a number, the number is different on each page but the same each time it comes on the same page)
Any ideas, some pages work but other don't, after going somewhere else and back the pages somtimes work.

I just get a window saying "no response, perhaps the server is down", but that maybe because I'm in too much of a hurry and trying to follow 12 conversations at once, each in different windows.

It's a performance problem with the BBC servers apparently - it's been discussed/mentioned on the testers forums at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A516070 - the Towers are aware of the problem & are chasing it.
