I'm sure the DNA version will contain No Spitting, Wazungu. smiley - smiley

"SoP is confusing, some places allow entries to be added, with all the usual copyright stuff, some seem to allow for comment on existing entries only."

Not sure what you mean there, Wazungu. Can you expand? smiley - erm

From memory, I haven't time to check as I have to get off the PC in five minutes:
SoP Lancashire has an 'add entry' button at the side of the page. Press it and you get something similar to an h2g2 type entry creating page.
SoP Shrophire on the other hand invites comments. The layout for these looks to me like one you might find for a message board. The BBC's right to use content comments didn't seem to be there. I couldn't find any entry creating facility.
I may have this wrong, in which case I apologise and I'll have another look this evening,

Ah, that's because only four SoP sites run on DNA and allow interactivity. These pilot sites are:

Sense of Place Lancashire
Sense of Place London
Sense of Place Devon
Sense of Place Northern Ireland

All the other Sense of Place sites are nothing to do with DNA at all. The idea was to launch the pilots, and then to work out what the best way forward is. The Sense of Place team are still working on their plan, but the hope is that they'll want to roll-out a nationwide DNA-based Sense of Place site, covering the whole country.

It's a little confusing, but hopefully this explains why!
