An interesting subject matter, and one I heartily approve of The more B5 stuff the better. It is a good Entry, but I am not sure how well it works on its own. A reader not familiar with B5 would be totally bewildered when reading this, I would have thought. But to get everything down to cover it all would be a University Project. And a big one at that.
However, the premise is intresting, I have often thought that Londo is really the central character of B5, and definatly the one with the most character development, there is even a case for Londo making the way possible for more 'out there' SciFi, like Lexx and Farscape, as a central SciFi character intrested in drinking and fun, and who can forget the whole cheating at cards bit For this Entry, you also assume a knowledge of the Roman Emporers, and the decline of Rome, maybe a few more words on how they are similar.
Of course as a big B5 fan I may be looking at things too hard, so if you feel like it please disregard the above, TM. This is a good Entry, but as it is (ie. without more background) I would find it hard to put it forward to the other Scouts Sorry But please write more on B5, you are good at it If you have any questions, then please ask Until later.....

Hi Crescent,
Your observations have been noted. However, as you already stated, writing the complete entry on Londo would fill a book. Let alone a complete entry on Babylon 5 !
As you may know by now, this entry as well as future ones are/will be featured in the Post. So after a couple of weeks, maybe a month or two, there should be enough character-outlines to get on with writing a thing or two about how they are related, the influences on the work of JMS(sorry, J. Michael Straczinski) and maybe even a comparison to StarTrek(although I personally HATE the idea that everything should be compared to ST, and I am a diehard Trekkie !).
The thing is that I want an idea of how the entries will be received before I submit 15 to 25+ of them(all neatly bundled through a menu of course !). As you can imagine I would hate to have to change 25+ entries afterwards.
So yes, the influence of the Roman Empire on the works of JMS will be documented in another entry. As will the relationship between Londo and G'Kar and the best order in which to watch the series and the movies(establishing a chronological order in which even the movies fit).
And most definitely a personal favourite of mine that I haven't come across on the web : Which episodes to watch if you want to follow one character throughout the series. So for instance : which episodes are vitally important if you want to focus your attention on Garibaldi.
This is a mid to long term project. I will have to go back and watch plenty of episodes if I want to pull this off. Londo was easy !
Thanx 4 the input,
TM.

I agree that this should definately be done - but perhaps, if you are intending about 25 articles in total, applying for a University project would be a good idea?

I don't know about that university... This is strictly a one-man project and I gathered that the uni is more for collaborations...(?).

Just checked out the Uni. I definitely want at least 5 articles before I join. And as I said : I like to do this on my own. After all the articles are my personal "analysis" of Bab5, so it would be a bit confusing if there were other people involved.
But thanx for the advise anyway, I may donate my Bab5-articles to the Uni when they're finished. But for now : where the H*** did I leave my copy of 'Racing Mars'... GARIBALDI !!!!!
