1st paragraph talks about slave owners as more often then not having a white skin. Presumably this article is concentrating on the vile trade of human beings to the Americas.
I find the first paragraph misleading although a thread does talk about the world wide situation. Perhaps it should have read, 'in the past' or 'in the Americas'.... Slavery still exists, the fact of slave-owners being white or not makes it no less repugnant.
