A useful, if primitive means of communication between two
people over a large distance. The telephone does not involve mental
telepathy or ESP. Neither does it require lengths of string or tin cans. You don't need to shout. Unless you are using a mobile telephone, in which case, shouting is half the fun. Especially in crowded places.
