A Conversation for Underground
the loudspeaker in the Underground

Any semi-frequent traveller of the London Underground has heard the muffled warnings and announcements of the loudspeaker. Favorite themes include:
"Mind...the gap. Mind...the gap."
"This train does NOT stop at Mornington Crescent."
My favorite, heard when I was an eleven year old tourist:
"There has been a delay. There is a person under the train at Tottenham Court Road station. I repeat, there is a PERSON under the train at Tottenham Court Road station. Please use alternative routes to your destinations. Thank you."

Have you heard the automatic ones on the refurbished trains? They sound *so* false!
For example,
The next station is HOLborn. Change at HOLborn for the .... Central Line. This is the BAKERloo line. This train terminates at WaterLOO
(The Capitals indicate an extremely highpitched part)
