if you pack food in on an overnight trip, hang it in a tree at least 20 feet from your tent. Alternately, if you are camping with a car, lock it in the car, with all of the windows rolled up. Do not, under any circumstances, take ANY food into the tent with you. Bears, food, and sleeping folk do not make for a pleasant evening!
