As well as Victor Hugo, there's:

William ('Buffalo Bill') Cody
John Kellogg (Developer of Corn Flakes)
Jackie Gleason
Theodore Sturgeon (Sci-Fi author)
Antoine 'Fats' Domino
Brian Jones (founder member of the Rolling Stones)

And me! smiley - bigeyes

John Kellogg and Brian Jones are in, but I couldn't find anything from a quick search to convince me that the others should go in. I will keep my mind open, though...

I'm surprised you can't find anything on Buffalo Bill, one of the great US historical figures and famous for his 'Wild West Show' that performed before some of the 'crowned heads' of Europe. If Charles Lindberg makes it to the list, I'm surprised Buffalo Bill Cody doesn't - he's easily as well known.

'Fats' Domino is (was?) a famous jazz / blues / rock musician - 'Blueberry Hill' is one of his best-known pieces.

Jackie Gleason is (was?) an actor, best known for his part in a US comedy series 'The Honeymooners', which I believe 'The Flintstones' was loosely based on. He was also Oscar-nominated for his part in the film 'The Hustler'. Check out the Internet Movie Database for more information.

I'm happy for you to leave Sturgeon off - he's not very well known.

Oh, and could you add my name to the researchers whose birthdays are on February 26th. Thanks.

Oops. Sorry. After going through a long list like that I kind of missed the five letter reference to yourself.

Anyway, I didn't say I couldn't find anything about them, I said I wasn't convinced they were quite worthy. The main thing is that I don't have many famous birthdays for any day yet and don't want to have so many on one (especially when several don't have any). I am intending to seriously update them all, so most of your others will probably make it on eventually. They just aren't on yet.
