Every day, five new approved entries are recommended on the h2g2 Main Page. These go by unnoticed to most users as they focus around their own page. This weekly article points out and reviews the most entertaining and interesting entries of the week. After the giant article last week the feature is changing a bit. It will be concentrating on the most entertaining and interesting entries. Fewer entries will be listed, as quality takes precedence over quantity. This time the article actually Takes 5! Hope the change is to your liking!

  • Earthquakes is definitely the greatest entry this week. Not only does it have some wonderful animation, but has great content as well! It would be nice to see a bit more accuracy on the 'liquid' that fills the Earth, as there is a bit more to it than that... What? Are you saying you expected
something simple?... Come on, it's Earth we're dealing with here! It is a great entry and summarises the whole issue pretty neatly.

  • Plugged onto the end of Earthquakes is...
Earthquakes-The Human Perspective. This covers a researcher's experience of being in an earthquake. Not only is humour incorporated, but so are handy tips in case you ever find yourself in such a situation. These include not only the more obvious tips, but also practical ones that you would not think of while rushing around preparing to encounter the aftershocks. This must be
a good test for the portable Guide; tiles falling everywhere, the building swaying from side to side, electricity out, and what do you do? -Run? -No! Grab you WAP-enabled phone and do your best to find this entry you were told about but never read. Just read it! It might save your life one day!

  • Dancing on Top of the Pops is an entry any Briton should be very familiar with but, once read, should probably relate to any country with a pop music culture... so only Gibraltar is excluded ;-). The entry raises many questions that Must Be Answered! The public must be informed of this television-driven conspiracy to control dancing style! Maybe the participators of TOTP are all actors...I think I'm onto something...[Mr. Cynic: Yes, a delusion!]

  • Garlic is a great entry explaining the vegetable both botanically and with regards to it's sensual-affecting properties. The ingredients list for this entry
is perfect - clove of garlic, a couple of historical references, some
botanical information and voila! Oh wait, I forgot about the delightful recipe it includes at the bottom. But wait! Where is the temperature in Celsius? This cannot do! ;-)

  • Infomercials wonderfully describes the evil of commercialism and also its less apparent beauty. Hopefully, most infomercial viewers watch them for their
humorous property... the same way most watch 'When Pets Go Bad 2'. Seeing an advert stretched out to half an hour is humorous enough! Seeing an always-blonde woman acting fascinated by a man demonstrating the 'Juice King 2000' is bliss! And these are available free! The entry first highlights the evil of infomercials and goes on to tell of their comedy. Then it refocuses on their evil. A perfect blend.
