Oh for Christ's sake, be honest with yourself. A low crime rate and beautiful surroundings do not a pleasant place to live make. Entertainments, a thriving local press, museums, decent cinemas, good restaurants, nightclubs, sports facilities.. I could continue, but thinking of the town makes the bile rise in my throat. I was forced to live there for 13 years, and the sooner i manage to purge it from my memeory the better

Come on - lets not forget about the God's of all football ... Swindon Town Football Club. With all the relegation/promotions/sackings/thrashings who could get bored in the town.
And the magic roundabout too ... I love it.

I have only been in Swindon once (3 days), but the pub(?) Beehive and the "magic roundabout" (can someone explain to me how it works?) near the new center together with the owner of an indian restaurant, who drove me and a friend to the pub mentioned above when he realized that the two blocks walk was to complicated for us at that time, gave me the impression that there's a lot of worse places on earth to live in.
Key: Complain about this post
