Agony Aunt

Dear AA,
I have had this problem for a little while now and hope that you can come up with a solution! My problem is that I can't seem to balance my books! Every time I think that they are correct, they topple over and I have to spend hours re-stacking them. I have tried all combinations of shapes... Pyramids, Stonehenge, Box-shaped... but they always fall over like a pile of domino's! What am I doing wrong?

Dear Scatterbrain,
Oh my! It does seem that you are in a bit of a slippery situation there. I once had this same problem myself, but found a simple and permanent solution to my dilemma: superglue! All you have to do is find the style of balancing which you find most attractive then drizzle it with a heavy coating of superglue. This serves two purposes... it allows you to ensure that your books are balanced at all times and also makes a nice centre piece at dinner parties. You and your dinner guests will also find that, when it comes to finding a safe and handy spot to place your after-dinner drinks, the now-stable books have all kinds of sticky crevaces to keep them from slipping just out of reach. Never can have enough drink holders
now can you?
