Have at it, my dear!!! ....
But stay away from the mistletoe thread... they are kissing dancing ducks over there... such questionable behavior!!!

Titania (gone for lunch) Posted Dec 13, 2000
December 13th, early in the morning
*a procession of Swedish blondes appear, all dressed in white, lead by a girl wearing a crown of burning candles*
'The Feast of St. Lucy: Luciadagen
And I will stay awake throughout the longest winter night
And dress up in a red silk sash and flowing gown of white
And serve my parents with warm sweets and sing for their delight.
And I will wear upon my head a crown of fragrant green
Ablaze with tall white candles, with golden candle-gleam,
And I will be a Lussibrud as in some wondrous dream.
And as the night begins to fade I'll greet December sun
And knock on all the neighbors' doors and sing to everyone
And offer all the friends I greet a golden saffron bun.
Lucia maidens will come too, with silver in their hair
And star boys with their studded wands and pointed caps to wear,
And elfin boys will follow us as we walk everywhere.
And I will stay awake throughout the longest winter night
And dress up in my silken sash, my crown, my robe of white
And I will be, for one brief day, Lucia of the Light. '

Natten går tunga fjät
runt gård och stuva
Kring jord som sol'n förlät
skuggorna ruva…
*leaving a tray behind, loaded with glögg, coffee 'lussebullar' and gingerbread cookies *
*drifting out into Magic forest*

December 13th used to be the longest night of the year until they changed to the gregorian calendar (?), 1753 in Sweden...

* eyes Marc with concern, but a paramedic penguin declares him merely very drunk and administers some hangover preventatives before departing again *
Well, can't say I'd like to walk around with candles blazing on my headgear, but it'd definitely look impressive!

WE LOVE YOU!!! ), as well as strawberry swirl, kiwi swirl, New York Style(oh!!! That sounds kinda naughty...), wildberry swirl, lemon swirl, and peach swirl cheesecake!!!
Won't someone eat this peach swrl cheesecake!?? It's my least favorite... blech... and for any diabetics, we have No Sugar Added Cheesecake, which is also yummy.
