- You know what the MPAA logo looks like (or even what that means!)
- You know the meaning of FTB music over
I was a projectionist!

Yes to the first and no to the second.

Fade to black (as opposed to CTB, cut to black). Our film sheets all used to end along the lines of "MPAA logo, TMP, FTB" meaning MPAA logo, "This Motion Picture....", fade to black and shut down.
We were also initiated into the arcana of foot leaders, seconds leaders, masking the soundtrack to prevent bangs on reel changes, splicing, spooling (checking for broken sprocket holes and bad splices), changing lenses on the fly (especially after the trailers, which are usually in US Widescreen, but the main feature is mostly in Scope so you have to swing the anamorph in - but gently, or you'll damage it.
Hard work, but good fun.
