Thur 19 Feb - Moonhogg reports that he spots the comet thanks to the map I supplied him with Thanks to his text I go out, it's cloudy but during breaks I get a good view of Saturn

Sky absolutely fabulous tonight and not too cold here, so thought I'd make an effort. Got the reclining chair out and sat in the dark for 10 mins. Used 10x50 binocs to scan below & to the right of Pollux. Found something very faint & fuzzy to the left of 2 stars to the left of delta gemini. If it's not Lulin I'll claim it
Thanks for the tip-off on this web site; wouldn't have looked for it otherwise, and I nearly missed it, so

I can confirm it definitely was Comet Lulin because I was out last night doing the same as you, scanning below the signposts of Castor & Pollux It was great to see the comet on the anniversary of Einstein's birthand I dedicated the comet to him
