Having been to the Las Fallas for the 1st time this year.(Last week) I was very interested to read your account about this festival. Your descriptions of the events are very good, but no matter how well you describe them you cannot fully imagine the breath taking sculptures and noise of the la mascletà . As much as 125 decibles at times. Thankyou for bring back some wonderful memories.

You are certainly right about the need to see it for yourself. I took what people had told me with a pinch of salt, but when I got there the whole thing just knocked me senseless.
Definitely worth a second trip...
