Do you believe in love at first sight or should I walk by again?

Attractive, intelligent brunette seeks a man who can provide more stimulation than just conversation. Feed me cherries and listen to me growl. Tall, handsome males with more in their head than just technology prefered. You have to love me more than your computer.

Quite!..... it's asking an aweful lot!
Besides love at first sight doesn't exist, what DOES exist is "lust at first sight"... meaning that, if you look at someone for the first time, and your eyes pop out of your skull and your heart beats faster than a pneumatic drill... it isn't love... Love is like fine wine, it takes time to develop and mature..

Well, based on the reactions that my newly worn "hootersgirl" babytee provoked this morning, I would say that half the country has now fallen deeply in lust with my devilish ways. . .
Do you believe in love coming from lust or are you as cold and cynical as an eskimo in the spring?

Oooo.....
I resent that!
I believe that you can't love someone without knowing them... and if you just see someone for the first time, how can you know them? I do believe that there can exist that certain "je ne cai quis" between people right from the first moment they meet... but whether to call it love is an iffy subject...
I think the biggest mistake 95%(random figure) of people make is that they fall in love with someone who isn't their friend... this means that when the passionate-love fades, they have no friendship-love left.... and they end up hating and divorsing each other....
People don't understand how love is SO diverse and can cover SO many areas... not just passion... when you look at old couples... they may not be passionate any more (ok except the randy ones ) but they're still "in love" with each other, and that hasn't got anything to do with lust.....
Personally I believe that true-friends (meaning more than just someone you've met a couple of times and know their name..) are the only people you should really love passionatly, because you've already gotten to know them, you know their annoying little habits and except them, and you'll always be friends.
I wouldn't even consider going out with someone, who wasn't already my friend...

well. . . lust without love may be awful, discriminatory and downright sexy, but what about love without lust?
which one is worse. . . and which one is more harmful.
(maybe I shouldn't be talking. i'm lucky enough to have both.)
by the by, when you fall head over heels in love there is always the possibility of developing a wonderful friendship from it.
. . .maybe you should consider walking into a pub (or koffeeshop, or disco, or whatever your fancy) and randomly kissing the first girl who meets your eyes. . .
*smile*
this might just be the beginning of a beautiful friendship. . .

I wasn't writing lust off entirely, just trying to point out that most people confuse the two..
And sure it's possible for friendship to develope from a quick romance, but it tends not to happen that often...
I wouldn't know about that... I'm too reserved

romance is something that happens over time, you can't have a quick romance, that's like picking a flower before it has a chance to bloom. . . but i have certainly known friendship to develope from romance, and romance to come from lust. . . and i am most definately not reserved.
i have, however, been known to encourage reservations - especially at fancy restaurants.
ahhh... food... i'm fasting for peace in the middle east today. freaking social conscience.
