Thank you.
I was brought up on cabbages and fish (I grew up at the North Sea, near Dithmarsia, allegedly the largest cabbage producing area in Europe.

There's an old verse we used to write as schoolgirls in each others' autograph books:
"My love is like a cabbage, a cabbage cut in two. The leaves I give to others, the heart I give to you"

Seems it remains Dithmarschen in English and isn't changed to Dithmarsia. I never expected that.

Life is frequently like a cucumber, but I do prefer the red cabbage, which is healthy and very German.

I love this.
I reckon sprouts are under-rated. They're especially nice chopped and stir fried with soy sauce.
