So, what exactly is the system within which the Hermes Messengers messenge?
I may be willing to donate my skills, but I wish first to know better what is going on....

There's a page that explains it... you should find the link to it on the HMS page... Does that help!??
And honestly, we get just about NO ONE wanting to use the service...

I thought several of the Muses used it as a means of communication and delivery....
Well, I'll look again - can't remember if I saw that page or just saw the short description of HMS...

I think it's http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A540370 . If I lead you astray, I do apologise!!!
Unforunately, that page needs to be revised. I can do it; I know you are busy. GinTonyx, who wrote it, has NOT been around for a loooong time, and neither have a couple of the other messengers on that page. Bleh.
HMS rarely gets used. It's for anyone who wants to use it.

Hmmm..... *MH ponders with clever look on face*
Well, give me a month or so and I may sign up.... it seems that right now I've got a lot on my plate; I haven't even been able to edit my recent Entries, and I certainly haven't been good at keeping up with my conversations this week (something about not having logged on...)
*And* I just applied to be an ACE... So, during the next couple weeks is going to be the end-pf-classes insanity, followed by the I'm-an-ACE and the xmas-and-New-Year's insanity, and then I think things will be calm enough for me to have a look-see into being a messenger.
I did read the bit, by the way; how do the messengers access all that? Or did I read that and promptly forget that, too?

That's cool... I bet you will make a WONDERFUL ACE....
And the details of how the messengers access the e-mail is a secret...
You e-mail h2g2muses.... blah blah... and I e-mail you back with the password... Tee hee hee!!!
This is a chaotic time... I'm glad you are wise enough to recognize how much you can handle at one time!!!

Well, when things calm down a bit, count me in; though I'll probably drop a note to let you know exactly when "calm" is..
