So here comes mine and almaak's first attemp at writing a Guide Entry

Looking good Have only skim read this so far, and will come back for a more detailed reading later.

Being english, I feel honour-bound to ask what the weather is like there, when is a good time of year to visit?

Well... Depends on what you want to do. Of course winter would be the right time if you want to go skiing

But I personally would come in spring or summer. I think from April till September would be the perfect time if you want to explore the city and the surroundings. Warm enough to stroll the streets and sit in cafe's...

And right now it's awful! Wet snow falling around, temperature around zero, huge ponds of melting snow all over the streets and permanently grey sky. March is definitely NOT the month to visit Sofia At least not this year

But I guess you were just hinting that I should include that info in the entry rather then just picking a conversation

I like this, it'd make a great addition to the EG.
It needs some tidying up, but night-eyes hasn't posted in 4 weeksbut I don't think there's anything in the entry that a good sub-ed couldn't sort.

All else fails, it's prime for the Flea Market (says he with Geographical Entry Retrieval as one of his MO's )

Can someone remind me to hae a proper re-read tomorrow?

But I am not sure how good I am at tidying up - I am not ashamed to admit it's not my favourite household chore

Hm... now that you mentioned it I remember - I did look at it and there was something about " and ' there!
But... My memory is soooooo short and tiny and details like that never stay in. And being one lazy **** I didn't check the instructions again before posting the entry
