A Conversation for Things to see and do in Sofia, Bulgaria
"Alexander Nevsky" Cathedral

I must say that I had a pleasure to visit this beautiful city twice and I hope I will return in Sofia again.
If you have a chance, please, do not miss the Sunday service, liturgy, in "Alexander Nevsky" Cathedral.
But, to be correct the biggest Orthodox temple in Balkan Peninsula is Cathedral of Saint Sava in Belgrade, Serbia. Although it is not yet finished, it is in service as a sacral object and is slightly bigger than "Alexander Nevsky" Cathedral.

I have to say I have never been to a Sunday service in "Alexander Nevsky" although I have been living in this city for more than 20 years! I went to Easter service once, but it was too crowded to be able to appreciate the music... Should try it!
As for the biggest chirch in the Balkans, I guess you are right. I heard about this cathedral being built in Serbia, but I didn't know it's operational yet. Need to change the article Thanks dynsdale!
