A Conversation for 3.5 Inch Floppy Disk
Where to get Floppies now

So what I'm really wondering is, now that AOL sends out CD-ROMS, where am I supposed to get floppy disks from? I'm down to a dozen or so. Fortunately, the only thing I ever use them for is booting a system, or installing a network driver.

I'm afraid you'll have to buy them. Some computer magazines still have software on floppy on their front covers, but not many.
I have to admit to a secret supply. My husband is an insurance broker and insurance companies and companies like BUPA send his company software on floppy. A lot of the time they get multiple copies, or it is of no use to them. Richard always brings these disks home to me. I now have more floppies than I know what to do with.
