Nobody is misrepresenting you. I've never seen any conversations about you, or anybody else's opinions about you. I am judging you as grumpy, ignorant, stupid, arrogant etc purely on the basis of your own comments in conversations.

Bels is dead. The changes have not been done to your satisfaction. Therefore what I said is true.

I refer you to posts 8, 9 and 17 just on this thread alone - though those weren't directed exclusively at you (which of course doesn't make the continuing misrepresentation any less but greater instead!). Is your missing them or their significance down to incompetence or dishonesty?

Well I have to go home now, so I won't see SEF's reply until later. But I really don't think I'll bother looking. I have attempted to extend the hand of friendship and had it bitten off me, so I'll back off and remember not to engage this particular person in conversation again.

An obvious falsehood - you only need to look back at your post #9 (as well as your post #22 now)! Anyone who doesn't look or see but goes on believing otherwise should know exactly what they are as a result.

Ah, I see. I haven't really spoken much to you before SEF, other than a few posts on the help pages. It sounded as though you were refering to some wider anti-SEF conspiracy that I had never come across. You'll notice that I posted #16, where I went to look at the entry, read the threads and commented that I couldn't see any evidence for dishonesty or incompetence. Astoundingly, I did this because I ignored posts 8 and 9 and went to see for myself. Your response to me and a similar comment made later by Gnomon hasn't enlightened me at all as to why you think the entry demonstrates the things you claim.

Happily in your more recent response to me (where you ignored the main point and question) you have now demonstrated the standard by which you judge somebody (ie me) to be incompetent or dishonest, so I can now safely ignore any comments you make about other people as overly-paranoid, hysterical ranting

Apologies, SEF. Yes, you are right. I have heard an opinion about you before. I've heard that you don't like the italics. Is that misrepresenting you? Am I a dishonest, scheming, deceitful person because I said that I'd heard that and then forgot it later? No, I'm just forgetful.

But I stand by what I said. I did extend the hand of friendship - I offered to help you in the Update Forum, and I offered you life-improving advice; if you didn't notice it, maybe you'd go back and read it again - it will change your life if you act upon it.

I also stand by all the things I said about stupidity etc. You've proved that time and time again in this conversation.

Now, folks, let's all get on with our lives.

Mort's post #28 is typical of the dishonest and defamatory misrepesentation going on. What actually happened is that I caught other people being incompetent and dishonest and they have been trying to cover it up with these further falsehoods ever since.

People here continue to (incompetently or dishonestly) confuse cause and effect. I haven't prejudged. People have committed the act and *then* I judged them. In contrast, what the friends of those people are doing (and continuing to do here) is to be prejudiced in *favour* of their friends such that they will ignore, discount, excuse or misrepresent the evidence they see against them. The don't see and judge - they prejudge based on misplaced faith in the incompetent and dishonest ones and then carefully avoid seeing.

I didn't miss the last paragraph of post 18. I answered the misrepresentation contained in it in post 19. The advice, being based on a falsehood, is also false. It is the people who might be tempted to believe it who should be looking to their prejudices (eg those in favour of people they have already decided to like and in complete disregard of the evidence).

There's something I've often wondered, and may have even asked before - I can't honestly remember.

If h2g2 is a place full of deceit, stupidity, and nepotism, why do you stay here SEF?

SEF, as I said before, I'm not judging you based on something someone else said. I certainly am not aware of any "friends" who have any opinion about you. I doubt any of my friends had ever heard of you up to now.

I've met the italics and they are decent people. I don't know what went on between you and them in the past, but if you feel they have been dishonest, you should complain to the BBC.

On the other hand, please, please, please consider that it might be you that is at fault. The level of paranoia you have displayed in this conversation shows that you have a problem. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and open them as a new person. Forgive any perceived wrongs (whether they happened or not) and be a happier person.

I'm prepared to believe that there may be something in what you are saying, but I find the way that you choose to say it comes across as so bitter, prejudiced, paranoid and generally up your own that I tend to switch off and not make the effort to wade through your paragraphs and decipher what you're trying to say.

If you want people to listen to and understand what you're trying to say, you might wish to bear this in mind. I'm not saying this with the aim of being rude or insulting, I'm saying it with the aim of trying to help you improve the way you communicate and achieve your goals. Although your performance in this thread so far is such that if you take this in the spirit that it is intended, I will be pleasantly surprised.

SEF, you throw your views around on this site as if they are the only truth in life, and anyone who doesn't agree with you or see things the same way becomes another victim of your venom and spite because they won't do what you say, they won't let you control what they think but prefer to make up their own minds.

I haven't voluntarily addressed a post to you for a very long time, because I seem to get much of your poisonous drivel aimed at me, but seeing as you aim and fire at me whether I ignore you or not makes me not care anymore.

You're poison. You try to poison everything you come across on this site, you managed to poison someone who once was very nice so that he became a mini you, and now he's gone. Driven away by the results of your cold hearted vendetta against something you can't do anything about, so you hate. Despite actually having lots to offer the site, you just try to take, and leave hate behind.

We'd never have eaten those chocolates if we'd known you a few more months when you sent them. We'd have thought you were trying to poison us for real.

That was one of the first evidences of the dishonesty which went with the incompetence. Your almost casual defamation has also been demonstrated to be typical of you over the years.

Is it Tango you are talking about, Mina? I don't know if there is anything to connect Tango and SEF, but certainly the only person I've ever met on site who talked like SEF was Tango. He attacked me one day for a casual comment I made, saying I was in league with the italics against him. Yes, from what I have seen of SEF today I don't want to talk to him/her again.



Well, I tried.

Yes, it was Tango. He came into my journal one day and really flew at me as well. Totally unlike the Tango I'd shared the site with for years. I know people change, but that sort of change only seems to happen when people get in with a bad lot, especially when the behaviours are so similar as well.

SEF, you can only defame someone if they have a reputation to ruin. There's no way anything I (or anyone else) can say can ruin the reputation you've created for yourself, as shown in this thread.
