While looking around for hidden treasures, I found this article of yours. It looks like it has some good content (although I didn't see any mention of the Jim Crow laws) but it's very difficult to read because of the formatting problems. If you'd like to fix it up and repost, let me know - while it's hard to tell at this point, this looks like a good candidate for Peer Review.
