Ooops! I've noticed that I've predicted the same W/L/D as Owly in 9 of the 10 matches. I promise you that this was not deliberate. I was looking at the various league tables and results of previous matches when I made my predictions.
For various reasons that I'm not going to go into just now, I need to make my predictions earlier in the week than is the norm for me. Also these various reasons might preclude me from marking up the results on Saturday, so sorry in advance if it all goes tits-up at my end.

Hmmphf, I did these earlier in the week and they're very similar to all so far
Still enough differences to possibly make up the points gap.
Trouble is, you can't really change them, because in the end, this is what I think is going to happen.

GreyDesk Posted Dec 10, 2005
I think that I've marked this up correctly. But with my track record in recent weeks, plus the fact there's double rations here, then it would be advisable for all players to check their points themselves.
Well, that's it then. I could say that overall the number of points got this week was a little disappointing. But I can't complain too much as I'm one of the week's joint winners with 14 points. I think what we'll do is blame it all on Scottish football for delivering a pair of nil-nils, and a grand total of 2 points awarded here. Yes, that'll do
As I said, I'm the joint winner this week. And alongside me stands our rookie, Orcus, who had a bit of charge on this week in his attempt to take the top spot. So well done us
Sadly for him, riotact hung on with a (in the circumstances) solid 11 points to win this, the fourteenth running of the Official h2g2 Fantasy Football League with a comfortable 5 points lead, and a final total of 124
Ormondroyd also put in a decent performance this week to consolidate his third place. Which means that he's made a top 3 finish in 12 of the 14 seasons that we've played. Now that's going some
So to the prizes. Riotact gets a mousemat (that'll be his second). And the badge for the thing that amused me most during the season goes to Owlatron for his cheeky behaviour back in weeks 3 and 4 when he was asking for extra points because his scorer had scored a hat-trick. So if the pair of you will drop me an e-mail at greydesk AT gmail DOT com with your postal addresses, I'll get the prizes out to you
Future news - there will be a season 15 starting in the new year. I'm not sure which weekend it will kick off yet. I'll be making an announcement both here and at the VSC, so keep your eyes peeled for it.

Personally I was quite glad one of the Scottish games ended with no goals although i would havepreferred some from Aberdeen to make my second have watching holding a 1 goal lead more enjoyable and less nerve racking.

Félicitations, riotact!
And I really can't complain at another top three finish.
The best news of all, however, is that the competition will be back in the new year. I know you've got a bit fed up at times during this season, GD, but your efforts really are much appreciated.

Well after seasons of solid appalling performances I am really chuffed with a top 4 finish!! I think that makes me the Wigan of season 14. *whispers* thought I might get the badge for most improved performance!! *ends whisper* The plaudits of any fellow competitors will have to do for now!!
GD A great season's work. Well done riotact, orcus and ormondroyd I just couldn't keep on your coat tails.
