FF14 - Week Nine

Internationals time again!
I've avoided going for boring 'home international' clashes and other meaningless games involving a bunch of overpaid oafs. Instead I've gone for top of the table games and those that certain sides really need to win if they are going to progress to the main event.
Czech Republic v Holland
Switzerland v France
Belgium v Spain
Crotia v Sweden
Slovakia v Estonia
And as all of those are a bit 'foreign', and hence odd. I'll go with an 'odd' time for all selections to be in - 4pm on Saturday please

The striking thing about this week is the dearth of scorer points that got awarded. It kind of goes along with the dearth of scorers on the pitch really.
No, the *real* story is how 2 players got all five of the results W/L/D correct. I think we've had that before some where back in history, but not two of them. (I hope the pair of you had a bet on this week. You'd have made loads of dosh )
This 10 point slug has helped Orcus take the week's title with 13 points and a share of lead at the top of the table
------------
Results:
Czech Republic 0-2 Holland (Van der VAART, Opdam)
Switzerland 1-1 France (CISSE, Mangin)
Belgium 0-2 Spain (TORRES)
Croatia 1-0 Sweden (SRNA)
Slovakia 1-0 Estonia (HLINKA)
------------
The Points:
Orcus - 13 points (Czech Republic result; Switzerland result & score; Belgium result, scorer & 1st scorer; Croatia result; Slovakia result)
Ormondroyd - 10 points (Czech Republic result; Switzerland result; Belgium result; Croatia result; Slovakia result)
Master B - 8 points (Switzerland scorer & 1st scorer; Belgium result; Slovakia result, scorer & 1st scorer)
summerbayexile - 8 points (Czech Republic result, scorer & 1st scorer; Belgium result; Slovakia result)
me[Andy]g - 7 points (Czech Republic result & score; Belgium result; Slovakia result)
Demon Drawer - 6 points (Switzerland result; Belgium result; Slovakia result)
McKay The Disorganised - 6 points (Switzerland result; Belgium result; Croatia result)

Not like me to get two first-scorers right. I remember not so long ago where I failed to get one right all season.

GreyDesk Posted Oct 9, 2005
Indeed so, you're doing rather well this season, B.
Now what is the margin on yout bet with Ormondroyd? Forty-two points wasn't it?

Ormondroyd Posted Oct 9, 2005
Yes, B. Now you're doing better at that than me.
GD, if you go back to the Week 8 thread, the missing points are explained there. Please take a look, as it affects the top of the table.
