Wow! Thanks for posting about this MaW. I'm afraid not too many people may see it right away from this forum, though.

I'll tell you what I'll do. I'll put a little advert in the next View From the Queue column. Since I'm on vacation right now, it will have to wait for the Sunday after next. And so will my testing of this editor. But thanks for making it. I look forward to trying it out!

Just FYI, I had a lot of fun using GuidePost today. I feel I should inform you, though, that the links to the Windows version of GuidePost are incorrect on your site. It looks like you changed service providers. You remembered to update the link to the Linux version, but the Windows version is still incorrect. People trying to download this version will get a "File Not Found" error.

Luckily, I figured out the problem. Just to be on the safe side, I will provide a link in my column to download the Windows version. That way, people can download it even if you haven't updated the link on your page yet.

And BTW, GuidePost 0.4 for Windows is nearly finished.

Hurray! Thanks for moving so quickly. I have updated the links in my column.

The column will be out tomorrow, and it will include info about GuidePost. So do check the h2g2 Post tomorrow.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to include all the features I want to in GuidePost 0.4, but it'll still be worth having.
I will then work on GuidePost 0.2 for Linux. I think I should really be calling it XGuidePost to avoid confusion, or maybe GTKGuidePost. Definitely not gnome-guidepost, though. It's not a GNOME app.
Did you see if the website works properly? I've not had a chance to test it effectively. And that's being rewritten as well, with an altogether more impressive look implemented with PHP!

Terribly impressive, yes. I like the name, personally. And yes, the website works great as far as I can tell.

Do to technical problems, the rest of the Post ended up inaccessible. So it looks like my column will be the only thing running this week. I have no idea whether this will increase or decrease readership.
